School Holiday Dates 2026-2027 : PD Days Tuesday 1st September 2026 and Monday 4th January 2027 (Staff are in school on these days, but children are not).
School Holiday Dates 2025-2026 : PD Days Monday 1st September 2025, Monday 5th January 2026 and Friday 3rd July 2026 (Staff are in school on these days, but children are not).
School Holiday Dates 2024-2025: PD Days Monday 2nd September 2024, Friday 25th October 2024, Monday 6th January 2025 and Friday 4th July 2025 (Staff are in school on these days, but children are not).
School Holidays During Term Time
The Government has amended regulations for taking holidays in term time and these new regulations come into effect from September 2013.
Head teachers have the discretion to grant leave, but they should only do so in exceptional circumstances. If a head teacher grants a leave request, it will be for them to determine the length of time that the child can be away from school. This leave is unlikely, however, to be granted for the purposes of a family holiday. Parents can be fined for taking their child on holiday during term time without consent from the school.
