As a school and in response to our School mission statement, we have decided to pursue the CAFOD Live Simply award. This is an opportunity for us to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation to “work with generosity and tenderness in protecting this world which God has entrusted to us.”
To achieve this award, in collaboration with our global, local and school family, we will complete a range of actions to show we are living:
- Simply– Taking the time to be more prayerful, reflective and considerate to others.
- In solidarity with the poor and in need- being aware that other people might be experiencing difficulties, vulnerabilities and injustice.
- Sustainably– God’s gave us this Earth for us to care for so we should look after his resources wisely.

Introduction to Live Simply
Why Live Simply?
Our Journey
We have started our journey by launching the Live Simply Award with staff in staff training days, children in assemblies and parents at parents’ evening. Children and staff have made pledges as our first step on our journey. All of the school were very excited to be a part of the Live Simply journey and to complete the actions to help us to live out our School Mission and to live simply, in solidarity and sustainably with our global, local and school community as stewards of God’s creation.
