To celebrate World Book Day the children chose their favourite book to share with the class. They found lots of exciting vocabulary from their chosen book, after choosing their favourite word they decorated a t-shirt linked to that word.
We spent the afternoon creating our own stories and then sharing stories with our family and friends.
On Friday four children from Class 3 attended science ambassador training.
The children had lots of fun and can’t wait to be ambassadors for science in our school.
Class 3 received a package in the post and they were intrigued as to what it could be.
We couldn’t wait to open it and see what it was.
It was a camera. We were so excited and began to think about how we could find out more about it.
“Can you not take it to a place like the boy in the book?” Anya suggested.
Leighton said, “Maybe we can plug it in to the laptop.”
I wonder what we should do?
Today children took to the polls to decide if they were going to accept the UK’s deal.
The results were counted and verified and were as follows:
Yes 4
No 17
Void paper 1
There was a cheer in the classroom when the results were shared.
As we prepare to leave the European Union, we held our own EU Summit. Each of the children represented a country from the union and we staged a summit to listen to the deal the UK proposed. The UK representative presented their deal to the countries, who were all keen to ask questions and negotiate.
The countries have been given time to think about the deal and will take part in a vote later in the week to see if they have accepted the deal.
Key Stage 2 spent this afternoon with Captain Chemistry. They had so much fun experimenting, safely, with household chemicals and turning vegetables different colours. “It was fun,” said Lexie.
Every week Class 3 visit the library. Mrs Close shares a story with us and we have the opportunity to chose a book to bring back to school.
We listened to a story from Mark’s Gospel about Jesus choosing his apostles. We created a freeze frame to represent the story and thought about how we would feel if we were chosen.
