We got a surprise this morning when one of our ducklings had hatched.
Meet Donald
The children have watched with interest, what Donald was up to and looking for clues to see if any other ducklings were ready to hatch.

There was a buzz of excitement around school today as we received our eggs.
There was lots of discussion about what the eggs looked like and why they were in the incubator. The children used the information from Incredible Eggs to identify the type of ducks that would be hatching. We came to the conclusion that they were Pekin ducks, “The eggs are white like them,” said Phoebe.
A BIG well done to all of the winners of the Easter raffle- enjoy your prizes!
Writing can take many forms from emerging writing using lines and shapes, to writing sentences. The children love to write and are very proud of their work.
Children were very respectful and prayerful as we joined in unity with our federated school Our Lady of Lourdes, Shotton, in our day for peace. Watch this space for some beautiful work produced today.
We celebrated World Down Syndrome Day by wearing odd socks. We watched a lovely video clip of a little boy who has down syndrome. He explained to us what it means. Everyone had great fun designing their own odd socks and enjoying being different!
We had the most exciting afternoon celebrating science. Neil, from Big Science came to visit us and showed us how acids and alkaline cause different reactions to occur in water.
