Class 4 enjoyed a visit from the school nurse to discuss ways to keep our bodies healthy. Children worked together to make choices about the best ways to stay in good health!

Some of our gorgeous nursery children have started to look at the characters from our Oxford Reading Tree books. They have even been making their own stories up about them!
Little J’s enjoyed their first Outdoor Explorers of the year on Monday morning. Reception joined them on Tuesday afternoon. They were so curious asking lots of wonderful questions and giving their thoughts on what they found!
Key Stage 2 spent this afternoon with Captain Chemistry. They had so much fun experimenting, safely, with household chemicals and turning vegetables different colours. “It was fun,” said Lexie.
Every week Class 3 visit the library. Mrs Close shares a story with us and we have the opportunity to chose a book to bring back to school.
We have had a fantastic morning with Captain Chemistry exploring the suitability of materials. We selected different materials to make a helmet to protect an egg. Then we tested our protective helmets outside. Six of our eggs survived the fall and Captain Chemistry told us this was a record! We have had so much fun! We also made boats and tested how well they floated.

Reception have really enjoyed putting their learning about the two main characters from Little
Red Riding Hood into action. They talked about the materials they would need and how they wanted the Big Bad Wolf to look like he was hiding behind “To scare her!” – Kurt.
This week class 4 enjoyed one of their regular visits to our local library. The children selected books to read back in school and at home to further develop their love of reading.
