Hello Yellow
On World Mental Health Day we joined the Hello Yellow campaign. It linked nicely to our work on the Colour Monster and the children remembered that yellow meant happy in the story. We made and sang our own version of ‘If You’re Happy and You Know It’ and had fun with lots of props in our photo booth.
Our trip to the library
We had such a lovely time at the library this afternoon. We listened to a story being read to us and then each got the chance to choose a book to enjoy in school.
The Gruffalo
The Gruffalo is a favourite book of ours in class 2. Two of our class members decided to draw the characters then make puppets to create a Gruffalo puppet show!
Team work makes the dream work.
Working as a team is really important in our class. Here are some of our class friends building together and being creative in our writing area.
Working hard in maths
We love to encourage our mathematicians to use practical equipment in maths. Here they are using cubes to solve greater than and less than problems.
Feeding the birds
We have been learning about birds in science so we thought we would help them to survive the chilly weather by making bird feeders. We hung them around the school grounds.
Autumn fun
We have been on the hunt for signs of Autumn. We had a lot of fun in the Autumn leaves.
Sharing News
Arya had some news to share with the class this week, her dog had puppies.
She shared some photographs and spoke to the class about Darcy and her 8 puppies.
The class listened with interest and asked questions to find out more.
Thank you Arya for sharing your news with us.
