The School Day & Uniform

School day at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Blackhall
School Day School starts at 8.55am and ends at 3.15pm.
Doors Open Doors open each morning at 8.45am.
Bookings Club places should be booked through the school office.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club runs from 7.30am and costs £2 per day. Breakfast is served from 7.30am – 8.20am.

Teatime Club

Teatime club runs from 3.15pm – 5.15pm and costs £2.50 for the first hour and £5.00 for the second hour. Snacks and activities are included.

Payment is made via ParentPay.

Our Nursery

Little J's Nursery at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Blackhall

We offer 15 or 30 hours of nursery provision, as well as paid hours.

15 Hours All children qualify for 15 hours per week for the term after they turn 3 years old.
30 Hours 30 hour nursery provision is available where eligible.
Visits Welcome Please contact the school office to book a nursery visit.

Curriculum

Curriculum learning at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Blackhall

We are committed to providing a curriculum which is broad and balanced, recognising that every pupil is unique.

Our curriculum is designed to enable all children to achieve, reach their potential and let their lights shine.

Teaching and learning at St. Joseph’s has many creative elements and we aim to make learning relevant to the children and their local area.

Faith We follow the R.E. programme Come and See, supplemented by materials which help children grow in faith.
Core Learning English, Maths, Science, Computing and Religious Education.
Wider Curriculum History, Geography, Art, DT, PE, Music, MFL, RHE and PSHE.

Parents are invited into school throughout the year to learn about the curriculum and how they can support their child’s learning.

All children have the right to be protected from harm. Any suspicions and allegations of abuse are taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.

At our school, we value that all children are unique and different, with a range of strengths and talents.

Our award-winning in-house catering team, Chadwick’s Kitchen, provides catering services across the Trust.
