St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Blackhall

Our school’s Admissions Policy operates in accordance with the admissions arrangements of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.

Where a Special Educational Need or Disability has been identified, the school will work closely with parents, carers and any agencies involved to ensure appropriate provision and support can be planned.

Supporting Children with SEND

We are committed to meeting the needs of all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

We ask parents and carers to discuss any identified needs with the school before their child starts. This allows appropriate intervention, support and reasonable adjustments to be planned and implemented.

Advice may also be requested from Durham County Council or other specialist agencies to help ensure the school can meet each child’s needs appropriately.
